As Round 3 of student instrument selections were completed on Friday, students will be issued their Instrument Approval Packets on Monday, August 28! Students kicked off the band’s Fall Fundraiser this past Tuesday in class! Students will be selling items from the Blue Ribbon Farms Savory Sensations brochure, featuring food items like cookie dough and other baked goods. The sale runs from August 15 to August 29! Money raised through this sale can be applied to students’ Band Assessment for the school year ($100) or towards the rental of a school instrument ($100). Thank you to all of the fantastic parents and students who attended the Beginning Band Instrument Fitting event last night!!! The smiles that I saw on the kids’ faces are what gets me pumped up for the classroom! I can’t wait to get started with instruments! The next steps involve finishing up the testing of oboe & bassoon, having students making initial decisions, and checking our instrumentation numbers.
